Privacy Policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

This policy explains what we collect when you visit deepwaterdigital.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we use standard analytics and advertising tools to understand how people find and use this site, and we collect the details you give us when you apply to work with us. We don’t sell your personal information.

Who we are

This site is operated by The Pay Team LLC, doing business as Deepwater Digital (“Deepwater Digital”, “we”, “us”). We are a marketing agency serving home-improvement and outdoor-living businesses in the United States.

This policy covers this website only. It does not cover the separate landing pages or systems we operate on behalf of our clients, which are governed by those clients’ own privacy policies.

Information you give us

If you apply to work with us, or contact us as a manufacturer, you submit a form hosted by Wufoo (a SurveyMonkey company). Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, phone number, company name, market or territory, and details about your business such as revenue range, team structure and marketing spend.

We use this to evaluate whether there’s a fit, to respond to you, and to carry out any engagement that follows. We ask you not to send us sensitive personal information through these forms.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect some information automatically when you visit, through cookies and similar technologies. This includes your approximate location (derived from IP address, typically city-level), device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived here — including the site or ad that referred you — and how you interact with pages.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, also keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses, for security and reliability.

The specific tools we use

We want to be direct about these rather than bury them:

Google Analytics 4

Measures traffic and how pages are used — visits, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, and clicks on links that lead off our site. Sets cookies in your browser. We keep this data for 14 months.

You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser add-on.

Meta Pixel

Records that you visited this site and shares that with Meta (Facebook and Instagram), so we can measure advertising and show ads to people who have visited us. Sets cookies in your browser. This means a third party — Meta — receives information about your visit.

You can control how Meta uses your data for ads in your Meta ad preferences.

Microsoft Clarity

Records how visitors move through pages — mouse movement, scrolling, clicks — and reconstructs that into a session replay and aggregated heatmaps, so we can see where the site is confusing. Clarity masks text entered into form fields by default, and we do not use it to capture what you type.

See Microsoft’s privacy statement for how Microsoft handles it.

These tools are loaded through Google Tag Manager. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and sending a “Do Not Track” signal will not change what these third-party tools do — you’ll need to use the controls above or your browser’s own.

How we use information

To respond to enquiries and evaluate applications; to operate, secure and improve this site; to understand which marketing channels bring people here; to advertise our services, including to people who have visited before; and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We share information with service providers who help us run the business — the analytics and advertising platforms named above, our form provider, our hosting provider, and the email and CRM systems we use to follow up with you. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

We do not sell your personal informationin exchange for money. Note that the advertising tools above share information with Meta and Google for advertising purposes, which some state privacy laws treat as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. The controls linked above let you limit it.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a sale or merger of the business.

Your choices

You can opt out of each tool using the links above, and block or clear cookies in your browser. You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you have given us, or to stop contacting you — email us and we’ll act on it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law; we apply these choices to everyone who asks regardless of where they live.

Retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Information you submit through our forms is kept for as long as we are evaluating or serving your business, and afterwards only as long as we need it for legal, accounting or record-keeping reasons.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on the site.
